From hotel Alexander Thomson to the party’s offices at Waterloo Street, then to the monument ‘La Pasionaria’ by the river Clyde and on to the unveiling of the monument ‘Blockade-Runners to Spain’. Back to Admiral Bar at Waterloo Street for a hot and cold buffet with bottled beers and coffee in mug – bottles and mugs decorated with motifs of the issue at stake. Everything within the framework of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) – together with sympathetic and enthusiastic people. WHAT A GLORIOUS AND EVENTFUL DAY.
